How to cancel Home Chef

Steps

  1. Log in, click Account in the upper right corner of your dashboard, then open the Account Settings tab.
  2. Choose Pause My Account at the bottom of the left-hand tabs. In the mobile app: Account, My Settings, then Pause My Account.
  3. Share your reason and keep going until you reach the cancellation confirmation screen.
  4. Look for the confirmation email.

Home Chef says pausing is an effective cancellation. Do it before Friday at 12 PM CST the week before your next delivery. Cancelling does not cancel an order that has already been processed, including your first order.

Does deleting the app or signing out cancel Home Chef?

Not by itself. Cancel in the account, billing or subscription settings of the place you pay, then keep the confirmation.

What if I pay for Home Chef through Apple, Google or another company?

How can I check that Home Chef will not charge me again?

Save the confirmation (a screenshot or the email) and check that the next charge date is gone. A few days later, check your statement. If you were charged anyway, contact the service with your confirmation.
